Backstage News on Vince McMahon’s Condition Following Injury Return
As noted, Vince McMahon returned to WWE TV tapings last week following a quadriceps injury. McMahon had surgery for an injured quad in mid-September, and according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, McMahon returned to TV last week with a big brace on his leg. While Vince wasn’t walking all that well, he is reportedly not using crutches.
Hideo Itami Confirms Injury, Reveals His Dusty Rhodes Classic Status
As noted, WWE NXT star Hideo Itami suffered an injury in the main event of the NXT live event which took place on 10/1 in Largo, FL. Itami suffered the injury after he took a powerbomb from Riddick Moss.
WWE has released the following video, during which Itami reveals he is indeed injured, and will not be teaming with Kota Ibushi in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Itami added he isn’t sure about his status for “Takeover: Toronto” but said he will be with NXT in Japan later this year. Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com noted here is no timetable for Itami’s return to the ring, and you can check out footage of the injury below:
