Daniel Bryan and Renee Young opened the show with Daniel Bryan sporting the new James Ellsworth shirt. Bryan gives Ellsworth high praises for how resilient he was in his match against WWE World Champion AJ Styles. He is also disappointed in AJ Styles for how he handled Dean Ambrose’s constant interference. But ultimately, Bryan says that he has to discuss the situation with the Commissioner, Shane McMahon. “Who needs Goldberg? We have Ellsworth,” said Daniel Bryan.
Young transitions the conversation to Survivor Series. With Raw accepting all of SmackDown’s challenges, Bryan and McMahon must decide who will be on each team. Bryan brings up Stephanie and Shane McMahon’s sibling rivalry because he believes that plays a big part in why Raw accepted the challenge.
Daniel Bryan then looked directly into the camera and called Raw’s GM and Commissioner cowards for bringing in people from the Attitude Era like Bill Goldberg. SmackDown believes in its stars and do not need that.
Hype Bros are the first guests. Mojo Rawley comes out extra hyped and names Daniel Bryan Dirty Dan. Bryan is shocked by the level of energy and reminds them that he is not clear for action. The Hype Bros briefly talk about the tag division before the conversation is turned to who gets more ladies. Young asks Zack Ryder if he has a special lady in his life. Ryder looked at Young with an embarrassed look on his face before reminding her that they are live. With the attention now back on the tag team division, the Hype Bros believe that they are number one in the division. Young had trouble keeping Hype Bros on the topic of the tag team division. But eventually, she gets them to say that they are the perfect team for Survivor Series because they will keep the other teams hyped.
Next up is a visibly angry and aggressive AJ Styles. Styles was upset because Ambrose was messing up the seriousness of the WWE World Championship. He then accuses Bryan of turning into the very authority that he fought against. The only way for Bryan to make everything right is to give Styles a match against Dean Ambrose next week on SmackDown. Bryan agrees but makes one stipulation, if Ambrose win he gets a championship match.
After Styles walked off the set, Young changes the topic to Carmella and Nikki Bella. Carmella feels that Nikki uses John Cena to get ahead but Bryan disagrees. He believes that Nikki works hard for everything that she has because she took the jobs that nobody else wanted during her time in WWE. Bryan admits that he gets angry when people say that Brie Bella does not work for what she has accomplished. He believes that the way that Carmella is adding fuel to the fire will result in an interesting fight. Young is still hoping for a no disqualifications match.
The last guest is Baron Corbin. Corbin comes out bragging about how he beat a former World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. Corbin explains that he is in WWE to make money, not friends. Corbin reveals that he was the exact same way when he played in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals. He did not mind punching teammates in the face to get his spot. He tells Renee that he is engaged to someone who other people can only dream of getting. She cannot seem to understand how Corbin can just be alone which send Corbin into a rant against the fans. Baron Corbin presented his best heel promo segment on the main roster. He came across as an annoying, angry for no reason, egotistical heel. After getting in Daniel Bryan’s face, he left him with a simple question to end the show. What do you have for me next?
