WWE taped two matches in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic this weekend in San Jose that will air on future episodes of NXT television. The following post contains spoilers for the tournament which will conclude at next month’s huge NXT Takeover: Toronto special during WWE Survivor Series weekend.
The Authors of Pain defeated No Way Jose and Rich Swann to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament, and will face off against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of DIY.
TM-61 also advanced to the semi-finals, and will be taking on Alexander Wolfe and Sawyer Fulton. TM-61 was originally slated to face Austin Aries and Roderick Strong in their match Friday night, but due to Aries’ reported injury, general manager William Regal turned the match into a singles bout between Strong and Shane Thorne, which Thorne won to advance.
