Backstage, Zayn tries to convince Rollins and Reigns that Strowman should be the focus of the match. Rollins tells Zayn that they have been down this road before. Zayn rants like a crazy person then put his fist out SHIELD style. Reigns and Rollins just stare at Zayn before walking away.
Drew Gulak vs Rich Swann
Before the match can get started, Neville attacks Swann from behind. Gulak tries to beat down Swann as well, Neville tosses him over the top rope. Neville kicks Swann in the head before leaving the ring.
Winner- no contest
Backstage, Neville is asked why he attacked Swann. Neville says everyone in the arena is a hypocrite. Neville says he is the true king of the Cruiserweights.
In Ring Segment: The New Day
Xavier Woods says the WWE Universe will witness what may be the most stacked Royal Rumble of all time. Kofi Kingston runs down a list of people in the match. Most importantly, the New Day will be in the match as well. Each member notes that the match will be everyman for himself. Big E. says if one of the three of them win the Royal Rumble. Woods adds they will ALL go on to WrestleMania to become the WWE Universal Champion. Titus O’Neil interrupts them. O’Neil says he doesn’t want to be in the New Day. He now wants to replace the New Day. O’Neil asks if one of them will give up their spot in the Royal Rumble to him. The New Day says no. O’Neil says he will take it from one of them. Big E. excepts.
