WWE Smackdown Results (4/11): Superstar Shakeup Continues, Kevin Owens Joins the Blue Brand, Triple Threat Contender’s Match

[…continued from previous page]

After the commercial break The Usos were firmly in control of Jason Jordan, stomping him down in their corner and keeping him stranded with quick tags and cutting him off from his partner. After a few minutes of getting beaten down Jordan clears the apron and manages to escape from Jey, making the hot tag to Gable. Gable came in like a bat out of hell, claring the apron again and tossing the legal Uso with big suplexes. He climbed the ropes and hit a perfect moonsault for a very close nearfall. They set him up and hit the top rope bulldog, but the other Uso manages to save the match at the last minute. The Usos clear the ring and go for stereo suicide dives, but the challengers catch them out of the air for stereo belly-to-belly suplexes instead. They roll back into the ring and American Alpha sets up for Grand Amplitude, but the Usos fight out of it and run distraction as the referee has no idea which one of them is legal at this point. They clear Jordan from the ring, hit superkicks on Gable, and one of the Usos pins him after a top rope splash.

Winners and Still Champions: The Usos

– After the tag team title match, The Usos left the ring to celebrate their victory, while Primo and Epico came out of the crowd to attack American Alpha from behind. They hit them with a pair of powerbombs and stood tall as commentary confirmed them as the newest members of the Smackdown roster. Important to note that they kept referring to them just as “Primo and Epico”, no reference to the Shining Stars gimmick, and they were out in street clothes. Could be the end of the gimmick.
