Bobby Roode comes out Roode out, everywhere he goes he’s hearing about Hideo Itami, he’s knocked people out, he may have even broken a jaw or two. Roode claims that Itami KO’d him with a GTS, but it was completely unprovoked, and it will never happen again. Roode says he is going to make an example out of Itami at NXT Takeover, because Itami keeps getting hurt and hasn’t done much as a result.
Roode says he on the other hand has become the NXT Champion, sent Nakamura packing, and made NXT the show to watch. He says Nakamura could at least go back to Japan with his head held high because of what he did in NXT, but Itami will just go back and explain how he failed. Itami comes out to confront him and makes it past security, and the segment ends with Itami taking Roode out with the GTS.
Number One Contender’s Battle Royal (NXT Women’s Championship)
Ruled a no contest after Asuka ran in and attacked the field when it was down to Ember Moon, Ruby Riot, and Nikki Cross. Asuka destroyed all of them, so the referee called for a no contest. William Regal came out and announced due to the match result, Asuka would defend against them all in a Fatal 4 Way match at NXT Takeover: Chicago. Candice LaRae and Rachael Ellering were some of the other competitors in the match.
Authors of Pain defeated SAnitY via disqualification
– They ended up brawling until security comes in, but both teams beat up security and keep brawling with each other. SAnitY ended up fighting security on the stage with the Authors fought with them in the ring, then they had an intense staredown after everything was over.
