Report by Mike Killam for Wrestlezone.com

– Akira Tozawa is backstage talking to Titus O’Neil on speaker phone. As they’re discussing last night’s match on Monday Night Raw they’re interrupted by Ariya Daivari. Titus tells him to leave his client alone, but Daivari hangs up on him. He questions Tozawa’s honor and the Japanese sensation does not like that. Daivari says unlike in Japan wrestling has been a martial art in Iran for hundreds of years, producing some of the greatest fighters on the planet. He dedicates his match tonight to the Iranian greats.

Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari

It’s all Daivari from the very start, firing off with wicked punches and backing his opponent into the corner. He keeps up the pressure with kicks, stomping a mudhole in him, then slows things down with a side headlock. The crowd wills Tozawa back into the match and manages to break the hold, hitting a series of rapid kicks and hyping up the crowd with his signature battle cry. Tozawa looks to put the match away and heads up to the top rope, but Neville comes out of nowhere and attacks him to cause a disqualification. // Winner by DQ: Akira Tozawa

– Neville continued his assault on Akira, throwing him hard into the barricade over and over again. Eventually he threw Tozawa back into the ring and delivered a sick kick to his elbow, then locked in the Rings of Saturn until Tozawa passed out in the middle of the ring.

– Drew Gulak is behind a podium to make a public statement. He apologizes to his friends and family for the unthinkable events that transpired last week, when he climbed to the top rope and dove like a common showoff. He apologizes for allowing the rivalry between him and Musafa Ali to continue, as they both stand at two wins a piece. Gulak promises that next week they will have their final match, and the world will finally see that his family-friendly style of professional wrestling will trump Ali’s high-flying showboat.
