WWE 205 Live Results (8/15): Akira Tozawa & Titus Worldwide’s Championship Celebration, Cruiserweight Tag Team Action

Backstage Segment

Lince Dorado, Ariya Daivari and Noam Darr were all in the locker room making fun of Neville for losing the Cruiserweight Championship. Darr tried to say “the king is dead” but turned around Neville was standing there. They all left and didn’t want a fight, and Neville started throwing chairs and destroyed the locker room.

The Brian Kendrick vs. Mustafa Ali

Kendrick came out very cautiously, checking under the ring to make sure Jack Gallagher wasn’t there ready to attack him. Ali took him down to the mat as the bell rang and yelled “stop looking around, eyes on me” as he sensed his opponents distraction. Kendrick went for a shoulder in the corner but Ali floated over it into a nice dropkick for two. He flew off the second rope with a nice crossbody but again only got two. Kendrick looked completely lost out there, and the announcers picked up on it. Finally TBK got his head in the game and delivered a brutal boot to the face, but it didn’t last long as he ate an enzuigiri from the apron. Ali flew threw the ropes with his rolling neckbreaker for a close nearfall. Kendrick tried to come back with a sunset flip from the second rope but Ali rolled through and delivered a dropkick. He went to the top rope looking to put the match away, but Kendrick caught him and threw down hard right into the top turnbuckle. The Captain’s Hook was applied, but Ali was able to crawl his way to the bottom rope, only to get kicked in the face. Kendrick went to the outside and threw his opponent hard into the side of the ring, breaking the referee’s count, then threw him yet again into the steel steps. This clearly isn’t about a match anymore as Kendrick is just trying to cripple his opponent. He broke the count yet again and put his foot in between the steps, but Gallagher flew out of nowhere and made the save.

Winner by DQ: The Brian Kendrick

Gallagher fired off with a flurry of rights and lefts, but Kendrick was able to escape over the barricade to safety. Gentleman Jack looked on from the ring with a deadly look in his eyes.
