WWE Smackdown Results (9/5): Randy Orton vs Shinsuke Nakamura #1 Contender’s Match, Shane McMahon Hits Breaking Point w/ Kevin Owens, More

Backstage Segment

Kevin Owens is helped to the locker room by officials, and Daniel Bryan finds him apologizing for the behavior of Shane. KO says he’s going to own this company after he takes every member of the McMahon family to court, and tells Bryan to enjoy his job while he still can. Bryan asks if there’s any other way they can handle this, and Owens says maybe he’ll go to the police and file official criminal charges against Shane.

Carmella (w/ James Ellsworth) vs. Natalya

The champion takes it right to the much less experienced Carmella, but the Princess comes back with a really great looking tilt-a-whirl headscissors to take her down, followed by a series of arm drags. Surprise! She slapped Nattie in the face while was her first big mistake, and had to bail to the outside to avoid getting murdered instantly.

During the break the champion was in full control, having thrown Carmella hard into the barricade. When the show came back she turned around into a big superkick and Ms. Money in the Bank got a very close nearfall. James Ellworth got up on the apron and tried to cash in the MITB contract, but Carmella freaked out and started asking him what he was doing. Natalya rolled her up from behind and picked up the win with a handful of tights.

Winner: Natalya
