NXT Championship Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs Roderick Strong
McIntyre drives Strong into the corner. Strong locks in a side headlock. Strong tries to take McIntyre over but McIntyre puts on the breaks. Strong hits the ropes and is leveled by a shoulder block from McIntyre. Strong seemingly can’t get around McIntyre’s strength advantage. After a short break, Strong catches McIntyre with a dropkick. Strong tries to leapfrog over McIntyre but McIntyre kicks Strong in the gut. McIntyre belly-to-belly suplexes Strong clear across the ring. Strong ends up halfway up the entrance ramp. McIntyre follows Strong outside. McIntyre drives Strong into the ring steps. McIntyre tries to toss Strong back into the ring but Strong spins around and kicks McIntyre in the face. Strong dives off the apron and knees McIntyre in the head. Strong grabs McIntyre but McIntyre sends Strong back-first into the apron. McIntyre drags Strong up the steps. Strong grabs McIntyre and backbreakers him using the steel ring steps! Strong brings McIntyre back in the ring. Strong lands two more backbreakers before attempting a pin. McIntyre kicks out. Strong stomps McIntyre out in the corner.
McIntyre sends Strong into the corner hard. McIntyre dives off the top rope but Strong catches him with a mid-air dropkick. Basement dropkick by Strong. Strong and McIntyre trade strikes. Strong drops McIntyre with a back elbow. Strong tries to pick up McIntyre but McIntyre counters into a release vertical suplex. After another break, Strong slams McIntyre down to the mat. Strong goes to hit the ropes but McIntyre kips up and boots Strong in the face. Catapult slam by McIntyre for a near fall. McIntyre tries the Future Shock DDT but Strong escapes and Olympic Slams McIntyre. McIntyre kicks out yet again! Strong kicks McIntyre in the knee and hits the ropes. McIntyre picks up the charging Strong and drops him with a sit out spine buster. McIntyre sits Strong on the top rope. McIntyre climbs up top as well. Strong tries to hit a sunset bomb by McIntyre hooks the rope.
