NEW JAPAN PRO WEDNESDAY: NJPW World Tag League Winners Crowned, Chris Jericho’s Fukuoka Surprise, New Wrestle Kingdom Matches Added

World Tag League Winners Crowned

After a wild, shenanigan-filled final match in Fukuoka, EVIL & SANADA of Los Ingobernables de Japon won the World Tag League. The defeated Bullet Club’s Guerrillas of Desitny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) to earn an IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Match against reigning champions Suzuki-gun’s Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) at Wrestle Kingdom 12 in the Tokyo Dome.

Chris Jericho Attacks Kenny Omega, Don Callis

Elsewhere on the World Tag League finals, after a victory against Roppongi 3K & Rocky Romero, Kenny Omega found himself on the receiving end of a Codebreaker from Chris Jericho. Jericho shocked the Fukuoka crowd with an attack on his Wrestle Kingdom opponent. Not content with just the Codebreaker, Jericho then drew blood by walloping The Cleaner with the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

After the attack, color commentator Don Callis rushed the ring to check on Omega, only to also eat a Codebreaker from the Ayatollah of Rock N’ Rolla.
