Match #4: United States Championship Match Jeff Hardy (c) vs Jinder Mahal w/ Sunil Singh
Jeff Hardy gets a warm response from the crowd but Sunil Singh was showered in boos while introducing Jinder Mahal for this match.
Jeff Hardy starts the bout by quickly sending Mahal to the outside. Hardy then pops up onto the guardrail, walks it like a tightrope and dives onto Mahal. Mahal rolls back into the ring and as Hardy follows him Sunil Singh grabs Hardy by the pants leg. Mahal the drags a distracted Hardy into the ring and begins raining down big knee drops across his chest. Lots of boos from the crowd.
Mahal picks up Hardy off the mat and shoots him into the corner. More big knee drops across the chest of Hardy and the crowd begins chanting “Hardy, Hardy, Hardy”. Mahal grabs Hardy for a reverse chinlock and then clubs his chest with some big overhead forearm shots. Mahal then grabs Hardy and wraps his massive arms around his chin for a reverse chinlock. Hardy muscles his way out and kicks Mahal in the stomach before pulling out a clothesline and both men are down.
Hardy and Mahal get to their feet and exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Mahal picks up Hardy into a fireman’s carry and tries to go for a gutbuster only for Hardy to land on his feet, kick Mahal’s out from underneath him and hits Mahal with his double leg drop low blow. With Mahal down Hardy goes for Whisper In The Wind off the top only for Mahal to move and send Hardy crashing to the mat. Both men are again down. Hardy gets to his feet first, clubs Mahal in the back and shoots him off the ropes. Hardy with a reverse mule kick and sends Mahal to the corner where he falls to the mat. Hardy with a big swinging leg drop to the corner. Mahal, dazed, comes out of the corner and goes for the Colossus.
Hardy reverse it, lays out Mahal, goes up top and hits Mahal with a Swanton Bomb for the pinfall victory.
