‘Superstar’ Billy Graham Wins WWE Title 41 Years Ago

It was on this day 41 years ago when “Superstar” Billy Graham defeated Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF Championship. Graham held the belt for nearly 300 days before losing it to Bob Backlund.
