Maffew of Botchamania spoke to WrestleZone’s Kevin Kellam At Starrcast about his wild ride to pro wrestling fame and told a fun story about Jeff Jarrett. Below are some highlights:
Maffew On Awkward Meeting With Jeff Jarrett:
I get off the plane and everything is going fine and then I get told Jeff Jarrett requests your presence immediately. I start to laugh and they go no that’s real. The real Jeff Jarrett. Not Chicago’s number one Jeff Jarrett impersonator. So he came up to me and basically told me we couldn’t use any WWE footage. Well, that’s completely different than what I’ve been working on for the last three weeks.
Maffew On A Story That Pops Him And Not Others:
There is a story of a guy getting arrested for real in Memphis in 1997 on TV but because it’s Memphis, Jerry Lawler just said: “hey can we film it and turn it into an angle?” Of course, they agreed. I thought that was hilarious but since it had been copied so much nobody really thought it was a big deal.
