WWE WrestleMania 28

A British Point of View: The Miami Diary Part 1

What a time I’ve had so far! If you have never experienced the atmosphere around the big show then I would definitely suggest that you make time to do it at least once in your lifetime. It gives you opportunity to meet people who I would never get chance to meet and the chance to see something in person you have always wondered and dreamed about.

A perfect example of something I would likely never get chance to do is to just stumble in to a big TV star. I was walking down South Beach on my first day in Miami with my fiancée getting my feet wet when we just walked in to David Caruso from CSI: Miami. He was stood there in the water with his shades ready to deliver a one liner which I fully expected. I was looking round for a camera crew but he was just relaxing in his Horatio like stance.

Then yesterday I went to pick my tickets up from the Sun Life Stadium. As you may have read from my information on the site previously, I spoke to one of the production guys at the site who gave me some insider information about the structure for WrestleMania and I also got chance to meet up with Daniel Bryan during one of his autograph sessions. I luckily got pulled from the crowd whilst queuing by the WWE crew for a small interview as well, which I never expected. As much as I was impressed by this my fiancée is begging me to mention that Daniel Bryan hugged her. She was only calling him a couple of days ago! Turncoat! So if you see some British guy in glasses wearing a Texas T-Shirt on one of the highlight packages then hello!

Then today, I managed to meet Arda Ocal, Jimmy Korderas, Justin LaBar and Josh Isenberg whilst they were producing a special addition of CSR at the Shulkers bar. Whilst there I also got chance to speak to a couple of guys from New Zealand who were attending their first live event here in Miami.

Not something that happens to me on a daily basis back in the UK!

This is all before the events even begin! I got chance to speak with some true fans, some people involved and also people from the websites and podcasts which I listen to daily.

To all those people I want to say thank you for everything so far and if your reading this I hope it inspires you to possibly be able to make this trip yourself in the future.

To those who are in town for the show and want to meet up then get in touch via Twitter and I’m sure we can have a drink somewhere.

I’m now about to get ready to go to the Hall of Fame and show respect by wearing appropriate formal clothing. I hope the many fans in attendance will avoid wearing their traditional wrestling shirts and show respect to the people who are about to be given one of the biggest honours in WWE tonight.

I will be continuing to write my thoughts in the upcoming days and tomorrow I will provide with my predictions for tomorrows show. If you want any more information on my thoughts from the Hall of Fame I will be making an appearance on the Total Wrestling Show Radio show (www.totalwrestlingshow.com) tomorrow from 6PM UK Time and 1PM Eastern Time.

In the meantime follow me on Twitter (@BeansOnToastUK) or email me your thoughts at beansontoastuk@msn.com
