Pat McAfee Claims Multiple Injuries After WrestleMania 42 Attack By Randy Orton and Jelly Roll

Pat McAfee details the multiple injuries he sustained after getting attacked by Randy Orton and Jelly Roll at WWE WrestleMania 42.

After revealing himself as the voice behind the mystery phone calls, Pat McAfee became an integral part of Randy Orton’s feud with Cody Rhodes heading into WrestleMania 42. He was in Orton’s corner during the Undisputed WWE Championship match at the PLE and had a pretty rough night.

Cody Rhodes laid him out on top of the announce table before Jelly Roll took him out with an elbow drop before the match began. Despite getting stretchered to the back, Pat McAfee came back out later as the replacement referee. However, after Rhodes kicked out while he counted the pin, Orton surprisingly turned against McAfee and hit him with an RKO.

After Randy Orton’s loss, McAfee later confirmed that he is out of the pro wrestling business. Now, speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, the former WWE commentator detailed how Orton tried to break his neck after Jelly Roll had already damaged it. He also claimed that he sustained multiple injuries at the PLE, including bruises, cuts on his right hand due to the impact on the table, and a splinter on his crotch.

Pat McAfee admitted the wrestling business never needed saving after all

“I’m wearing this thing (the neckbrace) since I got Jelly Roll’d,” Pat McAfee began. “I’m wearing this just to keep it (his neck) secure. They ran scans. I’ll get it back tomorrow morning. I’m very grateful and hopeful that I will be completely healthy. But there is some soreness, obviously.

“Got some cuts and bruises, too. Hand right here, cut. I think that’s because the table exploded. I got some shrapnel, and somehow I got a splinter in my crotch. I think it’s because of what happened to the table. I mean, there was a lot that happened out there, and I did want to let everybody know that I am okay, just in case people were worried, because I did seem lifeless there for a bit,” Pat McAfee said.

“So I would like to let everybody know that although the mission was supposed to be Randy Orton saving the business, I think what happened instead was Cody Rhodes proving he’s the one,” Pat McAfee admitted. “His eyeball, this guy’s face, I think he got a (punch) right to the thing, it kind of cut him open, and I think there was a punt that happened afterwards that go ahead and swelled up the whole side of his face.

“Cody Rhodes was obviously very admirable. Randy Orton is still everything that I said he was, but the good news is the business doesn’t need to be saved after all,” Pat McAfee said.
