As we look back at some of the Top 10 lists on this site, many of you wonder my opinions on WCW. First off, I was never a "WCW" mark when I was growing up. I had the luxury of watching all of the best times in professional wrestling, specifically the "Attitude Era." Although I never was a sole fan of WCW, I have watched numerous hours of Nitro and Pay Per Views to really get a grasp of the company and how they were so successful. They had so much going for them in the late 90's and never stopped trying to create history. It was truly a great product in its prime. This week, I am breaking down the Top 10, in my eyes, WCW Superstars ever. This is dating back to the 80's, as you will see, and factors in many pieces to making a superstar worthy of this list. From wrestling ability, to microphone work, to their sole impact, and their ability to maintain a certain level of prestige, I have put all of these together to give you this list. Enjoy.
-Ron Simmons (The first African-American Heavyweight Champion in WCW, Paved the way for the likes of The Rock, Mark Henry, and Booker T)
– Arn Anderson ( He is so hard to keep off the list. "Double A" or "The Enforcer" captured multiple Tag Titles with Bobby Eaton and Larry Zbyszko, as well as United States Championship gold. One of the best all around ring warriors. Still the best spinebuster in the business.)
– Dean Malenko ( A complete technician in the ring who could work with anybody he was given. He had 4 Cruiserweight Championship reigns, a division that helped WCW stand out from the pack. They had such incredible matches in this division each week on television.)
