Isenberg Reacts: Can TNA Be The Best Wrestling Company Out There?

tnaIt took me a few extra days to watch Impact, but I have to admit that they are doing such a great job over the past few months since their change to Destination America. If you did not watch it, you missed some great matches, some developing feuds and some young talent getting the spotlight. With every company will come flaws. I see only a few small flaws that TNA currently has right now. The strengths are completely outweighing them, though.

The Strengths

Talent: Without talented guys, no company can succeed. I give credit to TNA for finding such a happy balance between young guys and the veterans that can attract an older audience. You start from the top and Kurt Angle is that veteran guy. With his feud and incredible matches with Lashley, you can tell that TNA is putting all of their efforts into guys that have proven their worth. They are main event names and continue to impress me on a weekly basis. The finish on Impact this week gives us more chances to see Lashley and Angle feuding. I can still see them keeping the door open for the young guys to evolve and enter the picture (I.E. EC3)

Speaking of evolving, Bram and Magnus have exceeded my expectations in their feud. Friends become enemies is so cliche at times, but this is working. They added Mickie James, a personal angle, and Bram continues to become THAT good. His twisted gimmick is working because he truly seems to live it. With this feud, it solidifies a really interesting mid card, something that TNA has lacked over the years.

Stables: They are not lacking stables right now. BDC has their own niche and The Revolution still intrigues me. Will they over-saturate them by adding too many members? It could happen. I just wonder what the overall outcome is for them. Will they be given a green light to dominate? Or, will they be used more for main event guys to get over? With stables and excellent tag teams like The Hardy’s/Wolves/BroMans, there is little to complain about outside of the mid card.

I find it incredible that talent like Aries, Gunner, Jesse and Robbie and so many more do not get as much credit as they should. They develop the under card and their gimmicks are simple, yet effective.

Also, Roode and Young = $$$

Overall, the talent is  the main reason why I love watching Impact. They put it all out there and there are few times where it seems like wrestlers “phone it in.”

The talent is carrying this show. The product is really good. There can be things changed to make it even better.
