Raw Opener: Ricky Hatton w/ JeriShow & Big Show interupting
A replay of last week’s Raw ending opened the show with Cena, HBK, and Triple H being left lying in the middle in the ring at the hands of Chris Jericho and Big Show.
Justin Roberts introduces tonight’s guest host, Ricky Hatton, and he makes his way out to the ring escorted by the Bella Twins. He welcomes everyone to Raw and shows a replay of the last time he was there in Sheffield and knocked out Carlos Maussa when he won one of his 15 world titles. He’s quickly cut off by JeriShow and the two make their way to the ring.
Jericho and Big Show are in suits and have big smiles on their face. Show stares down at Hatton and says that the English breafast he had this morning was bigger than him. He tells Hatton to get out of his ring before they make a memory that he’ll never forget. Hatton asks why he has to be like that and says he’s a fan of WWE and Big Show. Big Show is surprised, but then Hatton says he was a big fan when Show got knocked out by Floyd Mayweather at WrestleMania. Show then says he’s going to give Hatton the same opportunity Mayweather had and he can hit him, but as soon as he does, Show then gets to knock him out. Hatton jokes about needing a ladder to do that and Show gets down on his knees to make it easier.
Hatton starts to charge for a punch, but Jericho cuts him off and tells Show he’s not going to let him get embarrassed again by another low level boxer. Jericho tells Show he has bigger things to worry about, including him at Survivor Series. They argue back and forth telling each other that they will be walking out of the pay per view the new champion. Hatton finally cuts him off and says that the two of them will be facing D-X later tonight. Jericho starts insulting England and Hatton says he’s just a guy with a bad hair cut. As Jericho and Show circle Hatton, D-X’s music hits and the crowd erupts.
Hunter asks them when they’re going to learn. He says they get embarrassed by the Raw managers nearly every week and this week, they were both close to being knocked out by Ricky Hatton. Hunter then says thanks to Hatton for setting up the match and they’ll handle Jericho and Show tonight. Shawn then says to forget about tonight, instead they’ll handle them right now and he decks Jericho out of the ring. Big Show takes off his jacket and loosens his tie like he’s getting ready to fight, but he ends up getting out of the ring. Hunter says there’s only one D-X just like there’s only one Ricky Hatton and Hatton does the "If you’re not down with that" deal and we go to commercial.
