We start the show by replaying the end of the Victory Road main event, then Dixie Carter enters the arena and says Bobby Roode has been nothing but disrespectful to everyone. She says what he did at Victory Road was horrible, and she has weighed her options but he has left her with only one choice to make. Sting comes out to the ring and tells her he has never given her a reason to doubt him, but firing Bobby Roode is the easy way out. He says he can't get the right kind of revenge and neither can James Storm, then he says he also wants to talk about his job as general manager. Sting says it just isn't working out, and Dixie gets a worried look on her face when he says she put all her faith in him but he isn't getting it done.

Sting says something happened at Victory Road, and he realized he can't be a GM and a wrestler if he wants to compete at Roode's level. Sting says he needs to go home and rest because of his concussion, but he is going to come back better than he has ever been. He says he will come back and fight at 100 percent, and he will fight at a different level and that is why he can't run the show. He tells her he won't leave her high and dry because he has someone in mind, because the guy he was talking to can take this company all the way to the top. Sting says this man knows wrestling like no one else and he can do the job full time, so Dixie needs to let him give the job to the real Hulk Hogan. Dixie looks worried, but he assures her that he is right and tells her to trust him, then she nods her head and Sting plays to the crowd.

Bully Ray is shown in the locker room holding his chain, and he says he is super pissed off but he won't take the show hostage. He says he will just take some hostages, and it doesn't matter who it is because it's the wrong night to be in his way.
