Earlier today, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon took part in a conference call, which coincided with WWE's second quarter earnings being reported. The following are highlights from the call and the earnings report:
-Vince said that he would be making an announcement about the WWE Network launch during the third quarter conference call, so it seems likely that the network will not be launching in the fall as has been rumored.
-WWE's "Main Event" TV show will be debuting on October 3rd.
-WrestleMania 28 finished with 1,217,000 buys, which is up from last year's PPV, which drew 1,059,000 buys.
-$5 million has been invested in Tout, and the app has been downloaded over 30,000 times since WWE began advertising their own Touts on Raw.
-According to George Barrios, WWE CFO, the company will spend between $5 and $10 million on programming for the WWE Network.
