The Rock Lands New Movie Role, Filming Around Wrestlemania?

Deadline.com is reporting Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has landed the titular role in the upcoming film Hercules. The screenplay was adapted from the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars, and Brett Ratner is attached to direct the Paramount and MGM produced film.

The film is scheduled to begin production in early 2013, which could mean The Rock could be pulling double duty as he is expected to have a prominent role on WWE TV leading into Wrestlemania, including a WWE Championship match at this year's Royal Rumble.
