ROH & New Japan Show Sells Out in One Day, Update on Injured TNA Champion

ROH & New Japan Update

ring of honorThe combined Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling show on 5/13 in Philadelphia sold out in just one day, leading to the promotions running a total of four joint events this year, instead of last year’s two.

It’s expected the New Japan names for the tour will be announced in the next two weeks, which will be around the time of Supercard of Honor and right in the midst of our most trafficked weekend of the year, by a ridiculous amount.

Eddie Edwards/TNA Update

Eddie Edwards, one half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, broke his heel during the last set of Impact Wrestling television tapings. Edwards is expected back in action for the set of TV tapings in May, but there’s no word yet on what the company plans to do with the belts.

The Wolves won the titles on last week’s show, so TNA didn’t want to make an official announcement regarding the injury. It’s possible they could bide time and do nothing, but that would mean Edwards and Richards wouldn’t defend the titles for over two months on television.
