Lucha Underground Second Season
We previously reported that Lucha Underground is not yet confirmed, but expected to get a second season order of shows in the near future.
They will tape more shows this weekend on March 21st and 22nd, and they have additional tapings that are scheduled to run past the original 39 episode first season order. Another good sign, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that points to a new season is El Rey Network, which hosts the show on Wednesday nights, is already releasing promotional materials for the show. The network is apparently pushing Lucha Underground as a “flagship show,” which would indicate El Rey already put in the order for more shows.
As we’ve noted, the hope is to move the Spanish-language version of Lucha Underground from the Unimas channel to the Univision channel, which has a much larger reach.
