According to F4WOnline.com, WWE really wants to a put a lot of emphasis on making Smackdown an equal show to Raw when the brand split happens and Smackdown goes live in July. One of the rumored names for the Smackdown brand is John Cena, with WWE hoping his presence on the show will help make the show as legitimate as Raw.

In related news, it’s being said USA Network has had a lot to do with WWE deciding to bring back the brand split, as the network has been unhappy with Smackdown’s low ratings. When USA and WWE recently talked about what could be done to help Smackdown, the idea of the show going live is what the two sides came up with. Vince McMahon then came up with the idea of bringing the brand split back as he felt Smackdown needed its own identity.
