Tommaso Ciampa Comments On Previous WWE Developmental Release, WWE Smackdown Live Social Media Rankings, Ric Flair Appearance

Tommaso Ciampa

Current NXT star and WWE Cruiserweight Classic participant Tommaso Ciampa posted the following on Facebook, remembering his release from WWE developmental territory OVW and his journey back to WWE:

9 years ago today, I was released from my developmental contract in OVW. I was told, “go find yourself, get over, and then come back.”

I would not trade my journey for anything. My story is one filled with mistakes, failures, missed opportunity, disappointment, regret, and criticism.

For the average person, there are no secrets to succeeding in this business. Work hard. Be persistent. Remain humble. But maybe more so than anything else…stick around long enough and eat enough sh*t to develop a warranted chip on your shoulder…then strip down the imaginary barriers, believe in yourself, and have the courage to bet on yourself.

As a child my mom and dad told me that I could be whatever I want to be when I grow up…I guess they were right.

WWE Smackdown Live Social Media Rankings
