Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are not only locked in a heated rivalry but they are also at the forefront of the women’s evolution. Charlotte Flair recently spoke to TalkSport about WWE Super Show-Down, her feud with Becky Lynch, what’s next for the WWE and women’s wrestling. Below are some highlights:
Charlotte On Her Rivalry With Becky And The Controversial Start To The Rivalry:
If they didn’t react we’d have a major problem! Whether it was cheers or boos, the most important thing was that people cared. At the end of the day that’s all the matters. In my opinion she wasn’t justified. I was granted the match, so for her to turn on me I felt that all those moments I shared with my best friend in and outside the ring for her to throw away over one match was hard.
For me it should just keep getting better and better and I think that’s what you’re going to see with Becky and I. SummerSlam and Hell in a Cell we were just scrapping the surface, we’ve get deeper into the storyline and deeper into our roles and it should now just get easier to know where we are going and keep getting better.
Charlotte On WWE Super Show-Down:
I’m excited as there will be 60-70,000 people there and it’s another chance to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. I can’t wait to be a part of it.
Charlotte On WWE Evolution:
I want to say it’s hit me, but it hasn’t. To think I’m going to be on the same show as past legends such as Lita and Trish Stratus and then the future with the girls of NXT, it’s very humbling. I think the event as a whole is a game changer and then once people tune in to watch the show they will realise there’s no difference between male and female Superstars. You’ll see that the women are just as captivating and as good at storytelling as the men are and that’s because WWE are giving us that platform and opportunity to show what we can do. I have the opportunity to show the world there’s only one queen in WWE; I’m pretty excited about it.
The next chapter in the Charlotte and Becky rivalry takes place this Saturday at WWE Super Show-Down. Charlotte had a lot more to say in this great interview with TalkSport which you can read by clicking HERE.
