WWE’s Triple H recently opened up about President of the United States and WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump, saying the controversial figure understands how to generate “heat.”
During a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz’s The Flagrant podcast, Triple H briefly spoke about Trump. According to WWE’s head creative, the current POTUS is “charismatic,” and knows how to get under people’s skin.
“Nick Khan, who is the President of the company, he always has this thing of, ‘The most charismatic guy wins, doesn’t matter,” said Triple H. “Doesn’t matter your policy or anything. Whoever the most charismatic guy is in the debates wins.’ You can historically look at that and it’s pretty accurate, right? I think Trump’s ability as an order, like him or hate him, the way he does it, he’s charismatic in so many ways. I think he likes getting under people’s skin.”
Triple H calls the ability “genius,” and said that he believes Trump likes generating “heat.” He wouldn’t go so far as to attribute it to Trump’s time cameoing in WWE, though, and said it’s been who he is his whole life.
“I think he likes generating heat the way he does. It’s amazing and it’s genius and it worked in our business. Do I think he got that from our business? I think he innately understands that. It’s been his whole life.”
Trump is no stranger to the world of WWE. The current President has a long history with the company, having hosted WrestleMania 4 and WrestleMania 5. Trump also appeared in a feud with Vince McMahon in 2007.
