Fan Reveals Rare Photo Of Jeff Jarrett As A Rookie

The internet can be fascinating with all the rare finds that often pop up on social media. Speaking of rare, a social media user posted an extremely rare photo of Jeff Jarrett from his rookie days.

Double J has been active as a pro wrestler since the age of 18. He was trained by his father, the late Jerry Jarrett, and longtime Tennessee-area wrestler and trainer Tojo Yamamoto.

X (formerly Twitter) user @Santa_Vol uploaded a pic of a young Jeff Jarrett with the following caption: “I have literally looked for this picture for at least a decade! I thought it was gone forever.”

“I found it in a box of random stuff yesterday afternoon! 14 year old me with J-E-double F when he was a R-double O-KIE! 8/15/1986 Waverly Central football stadium.”

After his early career, Jeff debuted for WWE in the early nineties, rising to prominent success in 1995 by winning the company’s Intercontinental Championship. He’d drop the title to Shawn Michaels at In Your House 2: The Lumberjacks on July 23, 1995.

He’d compete for rival WCW in the late nineties, staying with the promotion till Vince McMahon’s acquisition of the product in 2001. Jeff Jarrett would compete for World Wrestling All Stars from 2001 to 2003 before giving his full attention to NWA-TNA with his father Jerry Jarrett.

As of 2025, Jeff is signed to All Elite Wrestling, where he serves as Director of Business Development in addition to working as an on-screen talent.
