Holliday and Cardona will face off for the ACW Championship on May 17. Ahead of the match, Holliday took a trip to Long Island to poll people on their opinions of “hometown hero” Matt Cardona. Taking a “people on the street” approach, Holliday got some people to admit that they aren’t actually fans of Matt Cardona’s work.
One pedestrian said he didn’t listen to “that sh*t,” in reference to Cardona’s popular Major Wrestling Figure Podcast. A barista said he didn’t know who Cardona was, but gladly accepted an autographed photo of Chelsea Green for the business’s Wall Of Fame. Things devolved from here, as Richard Holliday subtly subbed in a lip balm tube for a mic. He also got someone who was inexplicably wearing Ben Franklin cosplay to admit that Cardona “looks like a bitch.”
Despite Holliday admitting Matt Cardona was one hell of a toy maker, he said Cardona was a complete fraud, and his hometown didn’t even respect him. Check out the full promo below:

After a successful run with MLW, Holliday has continued to build his name on the indie scene. Holliday has worked for promotions like GCW, New South and RevPro during this time, and also competed for NWA’s Exodus Pro territory.
Matt Cardona continues to be a force on the indies, and recently returned to TNA to compete at the company’s Rebellion pay-per-view.
