TNA Stars Comment On Surprise Run-In On WWE NXT

The System made their presence felt on WWE NXT.

This week’s episode of WWE NXT pitted members of DarkState against TNA World Champion Trick Williams and TNA stars Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. Given their ongoing tensions with Williams, however, Santana and Hendry eventually struck him down mid-match, then wiped out their official opponents with a pair of jumps to the outside. With DarkState then dumped back into the ring, another team made their unexpected arrival.

TNA’s The System showed up to even the odds on Tuesday. System member Brian Myers took to Twitter/X to comment on the surprise run-in.

“Surprise! Just a couple of grizzled vets crashing the party in the house that Lord Tensai built,” wrote Brian Myers on X/Twitter alongside a photo of himself, JDC (fka Fandango), and Eddie Edwards.

The trio, all members of TNA’s The System, surprised NXT fans when they ran down to brawl with DarkState, causing the referee to call for the bell. Together with Santana and Hendry, The System then tossed DarkState back out of the ring, where NXT officials immediately held them back.

As Myers alluded to in his post, the NXT brand is a home for WWE’s developmental talent, who receive guidance from Matt Bloom. At one point, Bloom performed in a WWE ring as Lord Tensai. Nowadays, Bloom serves as the head trainer at the WWE Performance Center.

Regarding The System, their leader Moose will defend the X-Division Championship against Leon Slater at TNA Slammiversary on July 20. Meanwhile, Williams will put the TNA World Championship on the line against Santana and Hendry.
