The Champ is Here!
NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne stands in the ring with Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nix. Jayne gloats over her win against Jordynne Grace and berates Nyx for failing to help her towards the end of the match. Jayne changes her focus to her next challenge, TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. The crowd cheers. Jayne promises to walk out of the TNA show as the new double champion.

TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich interrupts. Slamovich says Jayne is only champion because of Blake Monroe. Slamovich proclaims she is going to be the first TNA superstar to hold NXT gold. Sol Ruca and Zaria are out next. Ruca takes issue with Jayne saying she will be the only double champion. A brawl breaks out. Ruca, Zaria, and Slamovich clear the ring.
Grade: C+
Standard stuff here. Jayne is good on the mic, but this was no different from any of her other promos. It was nice to see TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich be featured, as for this match to matter to the NXT Universe, they need to get familiar with TNA’s champion.
Trick Williams, Mike Santana, and Joe Hendry vs. DarkState- Ends in a no contest
This one started in a wild, chaotic brawl and ended the same. After DarkState dominated, Williams and Co. fired back, and before they could close in on the win, Williams’ ego cost his team dearly. After berating Santana and Hendry, both men deck Williams. The lights go out, and TNA’s The System appears in the ring and attacks DarkState.
Grade: B-
Solid six-man match. Williams is turning into one of the better heels on the roster, and this was a great showcase for TNA talents Hendry and Santana. It’s interesting how well NXT has featured TNA talent during this partnership.
Evolve Women’s Championship Match: Kali Armstrong (c) vs. Karmen Petrovic- Ends in a no contest
Armstrong dominated much of the match until Jordynne Grace appeared and pulled Armstrong out of the ring and attacked Petrovic. Grace wants Blake Monroe to come to the ring and explain herself. Robert Stone and Stevie Hunter walk out on the stage and let Grace know Monroe isn’t here, but she left a video message. On the ‘Tron, Monroe says she despises everything about Grace. Monroe says Grace can meet her next week.
Grade: C+
Not sure why this was the match that was used as a vehicle to further the Grace/Monroe issue. This writer wants to see more of Kali Armstrong, and interrupting a showcase match doesn’t help anyone. Also, this is the second match to end in a non-finish. This isn’t the way.
Tony D’Angelo def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Luca Crusifino
After a brutal back-and-forth encounter, D’Angelo spears Stacks through a wall next to the commentary desk. Crusifino gets spinebustered through the commentary desk by D’Angelo. D’Angelo sends a limp Stacks back into the ring and hits another sky-high spinebuster for the win.
Grade: B
Awesome brawl with a crazy finish.
Josh Briggs
Briggs says he did everything he could to make sure Inamura walked away NXT Champion, but he had to sit and watch the opportunity of a lifetime get squandered. The worst part is Inamura has been here for less than a year and has already challenged for the championship. Briggs has never had a title shot. NXT Champion Oba Femi interrupts. Femi says the Great American Bash wasn’t about Briggs. Inamura is out next, and he says he wants to win but with honor. Briggs suggested a three-way match next week if Femi is so confident. Femi asks if that’s what Briggs really wants. Briggs decks Femi. A brawl breaks out.
Grade: B
Solid way to build to get another triple threat for Femi to hopefully dominate. This could lead to a swerve of Briggs and Inamura setting this whole thing up to steal the championship, but as interesting as that would be, it’s unlikely.
Masha Slamovich, Sol Ruca, & Zaria def. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, & Jazmyn Nyx)
Fatal Influence controlled the match early. The Culling tried to interfere, but Zaria and Ruca took out Paxley and Dame. NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank deal with Shawn Spears and the rest. Back in the ring, Slamovich drops Jayne with the Snow Plow and gets the three count.

Grade: B
This was a fun tag match that did a great job of featuring TNA’s Slamovich as a credible challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship.
WWE NXT Review:
Tonight’s show featured good in-ring action and solid building to the next TNA PPV, SLAMMIVERSARY. Yes, you read that correctly. NXT used a lot of real estate to help promote their strategic partner’s big event. This is how a partnership like this should work. What do you all think? Let us know in the comments!
