Last night on Monday Night Raw, The Eradicator Rhea Ripley teamed up with IYO SKY, former NXT Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, and Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. They took on the team of the current WWE Women’s World Champion Naomi, Chelsea Green, and her Secret Hervice.
Rhea Ripley and her team put on a strong showing. Her teammate, IYO SKY, managed to take out former Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green and pinned her to pick up the win. By doing so, both Ripley and SKY gained the momentum heading into SummerSlam.
The Eradicator then took to Instagram to react to the match. She called her team the Dream Team.
“The mf’n dream team!,” Rhea Ripley posted.
Chelsea Green then commented on the post, claiming that no team can be called the Dream Team if she is not in it.
“It’s not a dream team unless I am involved MAMI,” Chelsea Green commented.
IYO SKY claims that History will repeat itself at SummerSlam
One of the longest rivalries in WWE’s current era is the one between IYO SKY and Mami Rhea Ripley. The rivalry dates back to the Mae Young Classic. Every time the two have wrestled each other, be it in a singles match or a Triple Threat match, Ripley had never been able to defeat the Genius of the Sky.
Following the 8-Women tag team match, backstage, Ripley promised that at SummerSlam in the Triple Threat for the WWE Women’s World Championship, she will finally defeat SKY.
IYO SKY responded by saying that Ripley has never been able to defeat her and she never will be able to.
“Rhea you’ve never beat me and you never will,” IYO SKY said.
