Tommy Dreamer says he’s getting concerned that WWE might not see Jey Uso as a top act anymore after this past week’s go-home RAW to SummerSlam.
The YEET Master was the show’s opening act following WWE’s Hulk Hogan tribute. Jey didn’t seem to appear through the crowd for his entrance, something Tommy Dreamer pointed out during a recent episode of Busted Open Radio.
“I’m getting concerned,” Dreamer said. “I don’t know why Jey Uso didn’t come in through the crowd, not once but twice tonight. I know he came in kind of from the side. Are they not seeing this guy as a top act?”
Tommy Dreamer praises the promo exchange between Jey Uso and Paul Heyman
The ECW legend proceeded to acknowledge the live crowd’s reception for Jey Uso before expressing his praise for the promo exchange between the former World Heavyweight Champion and Paul Heyman.
“But I mean, that crowd was insane for him,” Dreamer noted. “An entrance is a massive part of his deal. That building would have looked super cool if he would have entered through the crowd. And then Jey’s promo was pure fire. He was spitting facts and he was spitting truth. I really, really thought it was a great babyface promo. If I’m grading it, it’s an A from both players, and both got me hyped.”
Jey Uso squared off against Bronson Reed in RAW’s main event. The match ended in DQ after Bron Breakker hit Jey with a spear. The interference prompted Roman Reigns to come for the save only for the Bloodline members to be taken out by the dastardly duo of Breakker and Reed.
