If you enjoy two-night WWE premium live events, it sounds like you might be in luck following the success of SummerSlam over the weekend.
WWE began experimenting with the idea of a two-night WrestleMania back in 2020 for WrestleMania 36. Years later, it has turned into a yearly staple of WWE programming. This year, SummerSlam expanded to a two-night format and was successful enough that the company might be expanding its calendar even further.
According to Andrew Baydala, discussions within WWE have intensified following the success of the two-night SummerSlam, which could lead to more two-night events in 2026. Tweeting out:
“Following the success of #SummerSlam in New Jersey this past weekend, the discussion of hosting more two-night events has intensified within WWE/TKO. With an earlier start/finish time, impressive revenue, and attendance numbers, it’s clear that the two-night format resonated well with fans. TKO/#WWE appears to be capitalizing on this success, as plans are already underway to introduce more two-night Premium Live Events (PLEs) in 2026. Survivor Series 2026 and the Royal Rumble in 2027 are at the top of the list, but it looks like Money In The Bank might also be in the mix for this format,” Andrew Baydala said in a post.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
