Who does former WWE Superstar Torrie Wilson believe belongs on the Mount Rushmore of women’s wrestling?
WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson recently sat down with WrestleZone Senior Editor Matt Black. When asked how she felt when she got the call to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, Wilson admitted it was something that caught her off guard.
“It’s something that I never considered a possibility,” Torrie Wilson admitted. “So, it totally caught me off guard. And it was one of those things where you don’t realize how much it means until you get that call. And I just got the chills. Because it for me was kind of a great way to put a bow on it, on my career in WWE.
“I left kind of like sudden. Had back surgery. I didn’t know if I wanted to come back or not. And then I just ended up asking for my release. So, there was no like, I didn’t get any closure. So it kind of felt a little bit like I got some closure. And you know, of course, there’s all the people that were so negative about it. I tried to focus on the positive, and at the end of the day, I was so grateful that WWE just basically said, ‘Thank you.’ That’s what it meant to me.”
Does Sable belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?
When asked about her rivalry with Sable and if she believes WWE should induct her into the Hall of Fame, Wilson believes Sable deserves to be in there and believes it’s long overdue.
“Absolutely, she deserves to be in the Hall of Fame,” Torrie Wilson said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to put her in the Hall of Fame. It would be crazy to me if they haven’t reached out to her numerous times. Her and Chyna are the two pinnacle women of wrestling, right? So, I definitely think it is long overdue.
“I don’t know if she wants or cares to be in it. I loved working… I loved that she came in… WWE brought her in to help kind of promote my Playboy issue. And she, at the time, was like the biggest name, other than Chyna, like the biggest name in wrestling. So, it was an honor to be able to work with her.”
Torrie Wilson names her Mount Rushmore of Women’s Wrestling
In one of the most debated topics in wrestling, Wilson was asked to give her own personal Mount Rushmore of women’s wrestling, and she didn’t disappoint.
“Gosh. It gets real hard now that they got the current talent,” Torrie Wilson said. “I’m going to go, Chyna, Sable, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair.”
