The music industry and WWE lost a legend in Ozzy Osborne a few months ago. During an episode of Monday Night Raw in Birmingham, England, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, while cutting a promo, referenced Osborne and his death. This did not sit well with the late WWE Hall of Famer’s daughter Kelly Osborne. Now, a former WWE Superstar came to the defense of the Man.
Former WWE Superstar Shotzi Blackheart was recently interviewed by TMZ’s Inside the Ring. During the interview, Blackheart shared that Becky Lynch was only cutting a promo like a classic heel. Blackheart also showed some empathy for Kelly Osborne. She mentioned that while the timing was off on the promo, as it was too soon, the promo didn’t mean any disrespect towards the late musical legend.
“I feel for Kelly because I was so close to my father, and when he passed, everything was really sensitive to me about it. So I don’t think that Kelly really meant that. I think she’s just really vulnerable right now, because I think that Becky was putting Ozzy over, and I think that she’s a huge Ozzy fan, and I don’t think that she meant it that way, because she’s also a heel, and Ozzy was a big part of WWE, Hunter loved Ozzy so much, so I think that they kind of just wanted to pay a little tribute to him, and then also, shit on Birmingham.
“And I just think the timing was just so off. And obviously, Kelly and her family are going through a lot, and everything’s just really sensitive right now. So yeah, it was just not, it was just not the time. I disagree with the timing on that, but I do think that everyone at WWE loves Ozzy, as the world does.
