Dana White Is Not A Fan Of WWE, But Still Respects It

Dana White may be connected to WWE through the TKO merger, but that doesn’t mean he’s a fan of pro wrestling.

White was a recent guest on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, where the topic of pro wrestling came up. Paul asked about White’s experience at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year, and White said he was blown away by WWE selling out Allegiant Stadium.

Paul followed up and asked if White watches WWE as a fan or from an entertainment standpoint as someone in the business. White said pro wrestling isn’t for him, but he at least respects the athleticism it takes to perform in the squared circle.

Dana White explains why WWE isn’t for him

“I’m not a fan. I don’t watch WWE,” Dana White said. “I’m into fighting, man. That’s what I do. You know how when you go on Instagram and then you go on your search page? My whole search is like, street fights and [stuff like that], that’s what I’m into.

“I am definitely — I respect the athleticism [of pro wrestling]. I told you when you first started doing it, ‘Man, you’re a hell of an athlete. You’re good,’” White added. “Yeah, it’s impressive to see what these guys do. It’s just not my thing.”

White closed by saying that he liked wrestling when he was younger, but not anymore. Paul said he understood White’s stance, noting that he’s not sure how much overlap there is between UFC and WWE fans.

White also runs Zuffa Boxing, which is co-owned by TKO Group Holdings. As mentioned in the interview with Paul, WrestleMania had the previous attendance record for an event at Allegiant Stadium. However, that total was recently surpassed by the Canelo vs. Crawford fight on September 13.
