Indi Hartwell Highlights Which Talent Benefits From The NXT and TNA Partnership

Indi Hartwell believes WWE and TNA working together is an overall positive for the industry.

Hartwell recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about her role in the ongoing partnership between NXT and TNA. Aside from her role as special guest referee in a Knockouts title match at Victory Road, Hartwell has largely been kept out of the ‘Showdown’ between both brands.

Hartwell has experience working for both brands, as she came to TNA from NXT. She views the collaboration as a good opportunity for talent who don’t get as much exposure on television, but it benefits both sides.

NXTNA is an overall positive for both sides

“I think it’s a good opportunity. Especially for the people who haven’t had the chance to work for NXT before,” Hartwell explained. “[It’s great] to see those guys and girls being used on Tuesday and getting to work with NXT people. [They’re] getting to work with people who came up in a different system. Because a lot of the people at TNA have just come from the indies and they’re still kind of learning how to work TV.

“And also, at NXT, there’s a whole range of experience there,” she added. “So, overall, I think it’s positive, and it definitely helps both sides.”

Indi Hartwell was unsuccessful in her bid to dethrone NXT’s Kelani Jordan as Knockouts Champion at Bound For Glory. However, TNA did get one of its titles back, as Mike Santana defeated NXT’s Trick Williams to bring the men’s world title home.

It’s unclear what is next for Hartwell in TNA. Fans can tune in to this week’s “After The Glory” edition of TNA Impact on Thursday. The show airs at 8/7c on AXS TV, TNA+ and Sportsnet 360.
