  • Nikki Bella vs. Roxanne Perez

WWE RAW Results:

This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW kicks off with shots of Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and Penta entering the building. All three will be in action later tonight.

The vacant World Heavyweight Championship sits in the ring as Jey Uso yeets his way through the WWE Universe on his way to the ring for his face-to-face with CM Punk. Jey Uso welcomes everyone to “Mon-Jey Night RAW.” Uso says he has a lot of people in his ear lately, like Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso, but he doesn’t give a damn what they think about him.

Uso says it’s just him and he’s going to be the new World Heavyweight Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event. CM Punk interrupts and makes his way to the ring. Punk says he’s going to do his best not to get in Jey’s personal space tonight because that’s all he’ll be doing this weekend. Punk says he’s proud of Jey because he’s finally listening to himself and not to all the noise coming from Roman and Jimmy.

CM Punk says he and Jey are friends, and it’s hard to try to put himself in Jey’s shoes because he’s only ever listened to himself. Punk says he knows Jey has what it takes, and he watched him toss his brother over the top rope last week.

CM Punk tries to defend Jey Uso

The crowd boos, and Punk reminds them that a battle royal is every man for himself. Punk says Jey has what it takes but questions how far he’s willing to go. CM Punk says he’s not asking little Roman, he’s asking Main Event Jey Uso how far he’s willing to go because he’s not the only one who needs to be World Champion again.

Punk says that short time holding that title after beating Gunter at SummerSlam makes him need that title again like he needs air in his lungs. CM Punk questions how far Jey is willing to go. Jey says let’s go. Uso says he’s been in deep water before, and he knows how to swim. Jey says Punk is trying to paint the picture like he’s the bad guy. Uso tells him to go screw himself. Uso says he’ll prove who the better man is this weekend.

We get a video package recapping AJ Styles and Dragon Lee winning the WWE Tag Team Titles last week.

Dominik Mysterio needs help

Backstage in the Judgment Day locker room, Dominik Mysterio is whining about having to defend his title against Penta or Rusev again and wants their help. Finn Balor isn’t interested in helping Dominik and says he and JD are focused on getting the tag titles back he cost them last week. Balor and JD leave, and Dominik calls someone, telling them he needs their help. Roxanne Perez considers going after Mysteri,o but Raquel talks her down and reminds her they need to take care of their own business.

WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Rusev vs. Penta

  • The finish of the match saw El Grande Americano and his minions attack Penta and Rusev, resulting in the match ending with no winner.

Winner: No contest

After the match, Rusev and Penta were able to overcome the trio of Americanos and stand tall, but the damage had already been done, and the match was thrown out.

Grade: B-

Oh, I hate this finish. And the problem is, I was just waiting for it to happen. WWE has had a DQ problem on RAW in recent months, and it doesn’t appear to be getting better anytime soon. It’s clear Dominik Mysterio will now have to defend his title in a triple threat, which is one of the oldest tricks in the WWE book. The fact that heels are still booked to believe this tactic will work is beyond annoying.

LA Knight wants to talk to ya!

Jackie Redmond is backstage with LA Knight. Knight is upset that he didn’t win the battle royal last week to compete for the vacant World Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Knight says he’s used to doing the hard thing and has never learned how to quit. LA Knight promises whoever wins the title this weekend will have to deal with him.

Bron Breakker wants the fastest way to the World Championship

The Vision is backstage. Bron Breakker is upset that they weren’t involved in the battle royal last week and doesn’t understand why they couldn’t just go out and tear everyone apart. Paul Heyman explains that if they ruined the battle royal last week, they could have all been suspended. Heyman explains that instead of focusing on a group of people, just focus on one person who’s trying to get a title shot after Saturday.

Breakker says whoever it is, he wants him in a match tonight. Heyman says he’s already spoken to Pearce and the match will happen. Breakker asks who his opponent is, and Heyman reveals it’s LA Knight. Breakker and Reed both seem really happy about this.

We get a pretty great video package highlighting the WWE career of Asuka.

More problems for The Judgment Day

Adam Pearce is in his office on the phone, and he’s interrupted by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Pearce asks where Dominik Mysterio is because he needs to tell him something. Balor says they aren’t here for Dom and are looking for their Tag Team Title rematch. Pearce says they are already busy tonight. Noting that one of them will have to face Sheamus for illegally tossing him from last week’s battle royal. JD steps up and says he’ll take the match, and when he’s done with Sheamus, they’ll be back looking for their title shot.

Nikki Bella vs. Roxanne Perez (w/ Raquel Rodriguez)

  • The finish of the match saw Roxanne Perez hit Nikki Bella with Pop Rox to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Roxanne Perez

After the match, both Perez and Rodriguez wanted to continue their attack on Bella, but she was saved by Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Grade: B+

This was a really fun match overall, and the crowd was really into it every step of the way. You know this match meant a lot to Roxanne, who has been very vocal about how much she looked up to Nikki Bella when she was younger. It was very cool to see Perez get this victory over one of her idols. I really enjoyed this matchup.

What if they win…?

Lyra Valkyria is backstage, and she’s confronted by Asuka and Kairi Sane. Asuka screams at Valkyria in Japanese before storming off. Kairi tries to tell Lyra something, but Asuka screams at her to follow, and she does. Bayley comes in and presents Valkyria with a match jacket for their title match tonight against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

Valkyria is nervous as she’s never been in the ring with them before. This bums Bayley out. Bayley questions what might happen if they lose. But Valkyria counters by asking what might happen if they win. This got Bayley excited again, and the two did a funny handshake of sorts.

Jimmy Uso gives it to Jey straight

Jey Uso is backstage and is confronted by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy wants to know how he thinks it’s all about him after he saved him in the battle royal twice last week. Jey claims he was trying to throw out LA Knight, but Jimmy says he’s seen the tape. Jimmy questions if Jey did that because he didn’t want to face him one-on-one in the end to find out who the better brother was.

Bron Breakker (w/ Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed) vs. LA Knight

  • The finish of the match saw Bron Breakker hit LA Knight with a spear to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Bron Breakker

Grade: A-

This match freaking ruled, and much like the previous match, the live crowd was into everything these two men did. I’m sure a lot of people are going to be upset that Knight just lost to Breakker clean, but they need to establish that Breakker is going to be the top guy moving forward. Hopefully, they have plans for LA Knight outside of the World Title picture on RAW.

A triple threat match!? Shocker…

General Manager Adam Pearce finally finds Dominik Mysterio backstage, who is speaking with the Americanos. Mysterio says it’s crazy they chose to attack Penta and Rusev because now they will be going after them instead of him. Pearce says Penta and Rusev are still coming after him, and he will defend his title at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a triple threat match. I’m pretty sure Mysterio is the only person on the planet who didn’t see this coming.

The Usos have a heart-to-heart

Jimmy and Jey Uso once again meet up backstage. Jey Uso says he heard what he said he’s his brother, and he loves him. Jey says Jimmy knows if he had the same chance to throw him over the top rope, he would have. The Yeet Man says he’s got a lot on his plate right now and basically wants his brother to be there for him. Jimmy agrees, and The Usos seem to be back on the same page… for now.

JD McDonagh (w/ Finn Balor) vs. Sheamus

  • The finish of the match saw Finn Balor hit Sheamus with the shillelagh while the referee’s back was turned. JD McDonagh follows it up with a top rope Spanish Fly to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: JD McDonagh

Grade: B+

This was a hard-hitting affair. The crowd wasn’t up for this one like they were in the previous two matches, but I still think the two put on a fun matchup. While Balor interfered, at least we got an actual finish. I’m good with that!

Maxxine Dupri will get another shot at Becky Lynch when she’s ready

Adam Pearce is backstage with Maxxine Dupri. Pearce says that Dupri has proven herself, and she has earned another shot at Becky Lynch and the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Dupri says she appreciates the opportunity and knows they come few and far between, and she wants to be ready for it. Dupri says she needs to call someone who will help her make sure she’s ready for anything. Pearce says it’s official when Dupri is ready.

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair are close to making history

Jackie Redmond is backstage with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. Alexa Bliss says they never turn down a challenge, regardless of which brand it’s on. Charlotte Flair brings up the fact that they are two title defenses away from breaking a WWE record.

They are interrupted by the Kabuki Warriors, who say they should be getting the title shot tonight instead of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Flair says she’s not the same person she used to be, and they would be happy to give them a future shot at the titles after tonight.

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee want to be fighting champions

The Judgment Day finds AJ Styles and Dragon Lee backstage with Adam Pearce and demands their rematch for the WWE Tag Team Titles. Styles says they don’t back down from a challenge and tells Pearce they want to take the match. Pearce says for AJ, the match is official.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria

  • The finish of the match saw Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss hit both Bayley and Lyra Valkyria with Natural Selection. Flair pins Bayley to retain the titles.

Winners: And still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair

Grade: A-

After the match, Asuka and Kairi Sane hit the ring and attack Bliss and Flair. They go to attack Valkyria, but Bayley backs them down as WWE RAW goes off the air.

WWE RAW Review:

Tonight’s show started with a solid promo between Punk and Uso, but immediately began to dangerously veer off the rails with the no-contest finish between Rusev and Penta. Luckily, from there, the show took a sharp turn, and the rest of the show was pretty good.

The main event was fantastic, and all four women really brought it. I was really worried the Kabuki Warriors were going to cause a no-contest, but luckily, they waited to attack until after the match. Very fun show tonight, I enjoyed it.

Grade: B+
