Solo Sikoa got a surprise in the form of a former two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion as his opponent tonight on RAW.
Friday night on WWE SmackDown, Zack Ryder (AKA Matt Cardona) was LA Knight’s mystery opponent in the Last Time Is Now Tournament. Knight would overcome the odds of facing off with a mystery opponent and escape the match with a victory. But would Solo Sikoa be as lucky?
Sikoa’s mystery opponent tonight on RAW turned out to be none other than Dolph Ziggler (AKA Nic Nemeth). Much like Ryder, Ziggler is currently working for WWE’s partner promotion, TNA Wrestling.
After a hotly contested matchup, Sikoa hit Ziggler with the Samoan Spike to score the pinfall victory and advanced in the Last Time Is Now Tournament.
The Last Time Is Now Tournament is officially set
We now know all 16 participants in the Last Time Is Now Tournament. While the brackets haven’t officially been revealed, we have a much better idea of what will happen next.
Thus far, we’ve seen Rusev defeat Damian Priest, Sheamus defeat Shinsuke Nakamura, LA Knight defeat Zack Ryder, Jey Uso defeat The Miz, and Solo Sikoa defeat Dolph Ziggler.
Three matches remain in the first round of the Last Time Is Now Tournament:
- Gunther vs. Je’Von Evans
- Penta vs. Finn Balor
- Carmelo Hayes vs. Bronson Reed
With the two surprise participants now revealed, you would think it should be only a matter of time until we see the official brackets for this tournament.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
