CM Punk Slams ‘Stupid Giants Fans’ Who Criticized Cam Skattebo’s WWE RAW Appearance

CM Punk doesn’t see the big deal with Cam Skattebo showing up at WWE RAW on Monday night.

Punk was on Barstool Sports’ The Yak, and the panel asked about Skattebo getting into a scuffle with The Judgment Day on RAW. Skattebo is currently dealing with an ankle dislocation, tibia fracture and ruptured deltoid ligament.

Skattebo’s season with the New York Giants is over due to the injury, but he showed up in a walking boot at RAW at Madison Square Garden. Many critics felt that Skattebo should not have been there, noting how he’s risking further injury and shouldn’t get involved.

CM Punk, however, doesn’t see the issue and took a shot at Giants fans while defending Skattebo’s decision to go to the show.

CM Punk says criticism of Cam Skattebo going to RAW is ridiculous

“Life’s not fair, but I think that those [critics] are just stupid Giants fans. Like, do you want to alienate him anymore, so he doesn’t want to play for your shitty franchise? Yeah, I said it,” CM Punk quipped, noting his dig at the team. “I don’t know the politics of the Giants and their fans and all that other stuff, but it seems ridiculous to me.

“Celebrities and sports stars have been intermingling with pro wrestling since the beginning of time, you know? So, I don’t understand,” Punk continued. “What are you upset about? Dude’s out with a broken leg. He broke his leg for you, playing for your football Giants, and now you’re just going to try and be upset at him? For what? I don’t understand it.”

Big Cat pointed out that Skattebo is out for the season due to the injury. If there was a chance he could play again this year, it might be different. However, Skattebo is not coming back in 2025.

“If he did a backflip off the top rope and re-injured himself or did anything that would impede his recovery, I get it,” CM Punk added. “But he didn’t do any of that.”

Skattebo also defended his appearance on the show, noting that he’s just trying to have fun and be happy until he can play again, and encouraged critics to just move on.
