WWE Not Looking To Expand Its Roster With AEW And TNA Talent — Report

WWE reportedly isn’t looking to expand its roster in 2026 with members of the current AEW and TNA rosters.

In recent years, plenty of talents have jumped between AEW, TNA, and WWE. But if a new report is to be believed, the latter isn’t looking to sign talents from the other companies in the immediate future.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, talent from AEW and TNA who have recently reached out to WWE have been informed that they aren’t looking to hire new people right now.

WWE’s current mindset is that they have enough people in the Performance Center. With many who aren’t even ready to appear on NXT or Evolve. Knowing that they don’t feel like they need new people right now.

However, Meltzer stressed that WWE’s current mindset isn’t an “absolute.” And that people like AEW’s Chris Jericho or TNA’s Leon Slater wouldn’t fall into this category.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.

Is Chris Jericho on his way back to WWE?

Last month, it was reported that WWE had offered Chris Jericho a retirement storyline if he were to return to the company next year. Apparently, this is the only thing WWE is interested in regarding a potential Jericho return.

No one knows for sure what will happen. However, we’ll likely know soon rather than later as Jericho’s AEW contract reportedly expires at the end of the year. So if you see Jericho suddenly removed from the AEW roster page, his WWE return is likely imminent.
