Roxanne Perez has revealed that the legendary rivalry between John Cena and The Rock was the moment that made her fall in love with professional wrestling.
Speaking on Going Ringside, Roxanne Perez opened up about what first drew her into wrestling. She revealed the John Cena vs. The Rock storyline had such a lasting impact on her. She said, “Oh yeah, absolutely. Him versus The Rock, Once in a Lifetime, that storyline was actually what made me fall in love with pro-wrestling.”
She admitted that being part of John Cena’s retirement tour and even sharing the ring with him still feels unreal. She said, “The fact that I got to be a part of something with him on his retirement tour is just absolute insanity.”
Perez added that when people ask her if she expected her WWE career to unfold this way. She said, “When people ask me if I thought that all of this would be happening, if I’d be in the WWE, I say yes and no, because I did always think that I would make it here. Something always told me that I would make it possible.”
However, Roxanne Perez never expected the unexpected moments that came with it especially working with John Cena. “But I never expected all of these crazy things to come with it, like being in the ring with John Cena and giving him my finisher. The Cena–Rock rivalry played out across two WrestleManias and became one of the biggest feuds in WWE history. The Rock defeated Cena at WrestleMania 28, while Cena got his revenge a year later at WrestleMania 29, where he also won the WWE Championship.
