Jon Moxley poured his heart out after winning the 2025 AEW Continental Classic Tournament.
Moxley met defending champion Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic final at AEW Worlds End. The closing stretch of the match saw Moxley plant Okada with a curb stomp before sealing the victory with a massive Death Rider DDT.
In his post-match promo, Jon Moxley put over the 2025 AEW Continental Classic participants, the fans, and the rest of the All Elite Wrestling locker room as the true holders of the Continental Championship. The segment ended with Moxley receiving a round of applause from the live crowd and his fellow Death Riders, with the reaction suggesting he may have turned babyface.
Earlier in the night, Okada defeated Konosuke Takeshita in the Continental Classic semifinal opener at AEW Worlds End. Moxley secured his spot in the final by defeating Kyle Fletcher in the second semifinal. That hard-hitting bout saw Fletcher chip one of Moxley’s teeth with a stiff strike before suffering a brutal avalanche dragon suplex.
Kazuchika Okada’s reign as AEW Continental Champion began on the March 20, 2024 episode of Dynamite, when he defeated inaugural champion Eddie Kingston. “The Rainmaker” held the title for over a year. At All In: Texas, Okada defeated Kenny Omega for the International Championship, becoming the AEW Unified Champion.
