AEW Star Reveals What Happened To His Pants At PPV Event

Speedball Mike Bailey reveals why he was wearing his tag team partner’s pants this weekend.

JetSpeed (Bailey and Kevin Knight) and Jurassic Express (“Jungle” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus) faced off against Josh Alexander and The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona) at AEW Worlds End. Bailey normally wears short trunks and kick pads and competes without boots, but he ultimately entered the match wearing Kevin Knight’s pants.

Bailey ultimately wore tights that said “Knight” across them, which is the same Speed Racer-themed gear that JetSpeed wore at AEW All In: Texas. Fans immediately assumed his gear had been lost while traveling, and Bailey ended up confirming that was the case.

‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey broke a traveling wrestler rule, but blame the airport

During his new vlog, Bailey said his suitcase containing his ring gear didn’t make it on his flight the day before. Bailey said it was supposed to arrive in Chicago the next day, but it was delayed a few more times.

“So, I won’t have wrestling gear for tonight. So I’m going to have to figure that out. And I know what you’re saying, I know what you’re thinking. If anyone in the business is listening, you’re thinking, ‘Well, you’re not supposed to check your gear.’ And I know, but I fly out of a very small airport, so I can’t [carry it on.] If I bring a carry-on, they make me check it anyway. So, yeah, thanks. I’ll figure it out.”

Bailey later joked that he was wearing the “longbois” for AEW Worlds End, which would give him an extra spring in his step. Despite wearing the wrong pants, JetSpeed and Jurassic Express went on to defeat Josh Alexander and The Demand by pinfall.
