Popular AEW Tag Team Ends After Brutal Betrayal On Dynamite

One of AEW’s most exciting tag teams appears to be finished after a shocking betrayal unfolded on Dynamite.

What started as an attempt to explain recent controversial actions quickly spiraled into something far more personal, leaving fans in Philadelphia watching a partnership crash harder than a missed dive to the floor.

The latest chapter involved TNT Champion Kevin Knight and longtime partner Mike Bailey, collectively known as JetSpeed.

The duo had built a reputation across AEW for high-energy matches and championship success, but Dynamite delivered the kind of breakup angle that hit like a superkick out of nowhere.

Kevin Knight turns on Mike Bailey after AEW Double Or Nothing fallout

Knight opened the May 27 episode of Dynamite addressing his controversial actions at Double or Nothing, where he attacked Darby Allin after Allin lost the AEW World Championship to MJF.

According to Knight, the issue came down to disappointment and missed opportunity. He claimed he warned Allin not to let AEW down and argued that he should have been the one headlining the pay-per-view instead. Knight also reminded fans that he was the last wrestler to defeat MJF earlier this year.

The Philadelphia crowd immediately turned on him with loud chants before Bailey walked to the ring to confront his partner. Bailey tried to calm the situation, telling Knight that his ambition was both “his best and worst trait.” He also called the attack on Allin a mistake and encouraged Knight to apologize before things got worse.

Instead, Knight answered with violence.

As Bailey turned his back, Knight blasted him with a microphone shot before continuing the assault in the ring. The attack left Bailey laid out while Knight walked away without hesitation, officially ending JetSpeed in brutal fashion.

The betrayal cemented Knight’s heel turn and dramatically shifted his role in AEW. JetSpeed had captured the AEW World Trios Championships twice together, but now the partnership has completely imploded.

For Knight, the TNT Championship picture may no longer be enough. For Bailey, the fallout from this split could lead to a collision course that fans won’t need a replay to see coming.
