Tonight’s episode of Collision kicks off with quick promos from the Timeless Love Bombs, Christopher Daniels, Dante Martin, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Darby Allin hyping up tonight’s matches on the show.
Angelico (w/ Serpentico) vs. El Clon
- The finish of the match saw El Clon hit Angelico with the Portal Bomb to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: El Clon
After the match, El Clon attacks Serpentico, who was trying to check on Angelico. Komander hits the ring to chase El Clon off.
Grade: B+
This was a fun opener. I think it was more than an actual showcase, and this was a fun matchup. It could have been longer, but I get why it wasn’t. I enjoyed it.
Jon Moxley reflects on the Continental Classic
We get a promo from AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley on a stairwell. Moxley reflects on the Continental Classic, saying it’s like nothing else in professional wrestling. Mox says the title comes with a very high price tag. Moxley says Shelton Benjamin is one of the most badass dudes he’ll ever step in the ring with.
Jon Moxley puts over The Hurt Syndicate and knows Benjamin is going to throw him around. Moxley says Benjamin is going to have to do a whole lot more than hurt him to beat him on Dynamite this Wednesday.
The Timeless Love Bombs (w/ Luther) vs. Hyan and Maya World
- The finish of the match saw Toni Storm hit Maya World with the Storm Zero to score the pinfall victory for her team.
Winners: The Timeless Love Bombs
Grade: B+
A fun, competitive tag team match. I’m not sure when Hyan and Maya World are going to get their first win, but it wasn’t going to be tonight. Even with them being from the area, the crowd was clearly behind Toni and Mina. It wouldn’t have been the right call to do it there. Perhaps before their residency in Arlington is over this month.
Celebration cut short
Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa saw their celebration on the ramp cut short as Marina Shafir made her entrance through the crowd. She and Megan Bayne are in tag action up next.
Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne (w/ Penelope Ford) vs. Rache Chanel and Londyn Dior
- The finish of the match saw Marina Shafir lock in Mother’s Milk to win the match via submission for her team.

The last match wasn’t a showcase squash, but this certainly was. Nothing to grade here.
The Don Callis Family wastes all of our time
Backstage, Josh Alexander, Hechicero, and Lance Archer beat up a bunch of nameless enhancement talent. I really don’t understand what the point of this was. Whatever. Moving on…
TNT Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Hechicero vs. Komander
- The finish of the match saw interference from El Clon, which led to Hechicero getting the win with a really weird pinfall attempt.
Winner: Hechicero
Hechicero will now challenge Mark Briscoe for the TNT Championship next week on Collision.
Grade: B+
I wanted to like this way more than I did. A few cool high spots aside, I feel like this match was pretty much on par with everything else we’ve seen tonight. I don’t know if I just had higher expectations for this match or what, but it didn’t deliver on what I was hoping for.
Tony Khan is obsessed with putting The Acclaimed back together
We get a vignette where it is said that Tony Khan forced Max Caster and Anthony Bowens to say three nice things about each other. Khan also had them do a scavenger hunt. It was very weird. I mean, we know they are gonna put them back together, so just do it already.
There’s only one Eddie Kingston
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. Eddie Kingston puts over a woman and a kid in the crowd who are having birthdays. The crowd chants happy birthday to them. Kingston says Ortiz is his right hand and says he must have quit this company eight times since he started, but thanks to Ortiz being back to keep him cool and collected, he’ll be able to stay around longer.
Ortiz says Kingston was born with the gift of gab, but he was born with the gift of putting his boot up people’s asses, and says they are going for the Grizzled Young Veterans. Kingston gives Schiavone grief for not holding up the microphone and says they will get the GYV.
Lexy Nair is backstage with Big Bill and Bryan Keith. Big Bill implies that Kingston can’t trust Ortiz. Bill says he found out over the holidays that JetSpeed have a bounty on them and he knew Bryan Keith was the man for the job. Keith says it’s time to pay up.

- The finish of the match saw Kevin Knight hit the UFO Splash on Bryan Keith to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: JetSpeed
Grade: B+
Pretty certain this was my favorite match off the show so far, still didn’t crack an A grade for me though. I’m not sure why, but something about this show just isn’t clicking for me this evening. It really feels like AEW is punting tonight, and if that’s what this residency is going to be, I can’t say anything about Collision is going to be must-see over the next several weeks. AEW is more than welcome to make me eat my words. I’d welcome it.
GYV respond
The Grizzled Young Veterans are backstage. Zack Gibson says they can see right through Eddie Kingston and Ortiz, and they are going to make a name for themselves in AEW at their expense. James Drake says they are going to target Kingston’s surgically repaired knee and question how much Ortiz will help when they drag him into the deep end.
A video package airs, summarizing the current feud between Hangman Page, Swerve Strickland, MJF, and The Opps.
Shelton Benjamin (w/ MVP) vs. Dante Martin (w/ Christopher Daniels and Darius Martin)
- The finish saw Shelton Benjamin hit Dante Martin with a Superkick to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin
After the match, MVP implies that Scorpio Sky found out he was facing Shelton Benjamin and called out sick. MVP puts over Dante Martin for taking the match. Benjamin and Martin shake hands. MVP cuts a promo on Jon Moxley, hyping up the match with Benjamin on Dynamite.
Grade: B
This was an extended-length squash match. Dante got a few hope spots in, but this was basically just a Benjamin squash. I guess I should have expected that, but I didn’t. This show just ain’t for me tonight, it appears.
What was THAT!?!?
Lexy Nair has a backstage segment with Bandido and Sammy Guevara. Guevara overacted to a ridiculous degree while he challenged Bandido to a match on Dynamite. Bandido asked him why he was so angry and said all he had to do was ask. The match is official. And that was BAD!
Tony Schiavone read a prepared statement from Stokely Hathaway talking about the injuries he suffered at Worlds End. This was probably the best thing on tonight’s show from an entertainment standpoint.
Wheeler Yuta (w/ Marina Shafir and Jon Moxley) vs. Darby Allin
- The finish of the match saw Darby Allin lock Wheeler Yuta in a modified Scorpion Deathlock to win the match via submission.
Winner: Darby Allin

AEW Collision Review:
Man, this show just wasn’t for me tonight. Overall, it felt like I was watching a weekly episode of ROH on HonorClub, and I am definitely not a fan of that weekly product. The quarterly pay-per-view events are great, but the weekly TV ain’t it.
That’s what tonight’s Collision felt like to me. The matches were all good. There were no bad matches. But this was a completely missable show. If you didn’t see this show, you missed absolutely nothing, and I think that’s something AEW can’t afford to do in 2026.
The show was fine, and I’m sure there are plenty out there who loved this show. But it should have been so much more than it was. The segments on tonight’s show that are typically highlights really brought tonight’s show down. It is what it is…
