Penta teases big things for George Kittle in WWE.
It’s no secret that San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is a fan of WWE, and according to WWE Raw star Penta, he may soon step into the ring himself.
“It is very special because I don’t know when, but [there’s a] big surprise later [between] George, Penta and WWE, so you’ll have to stay tuned,” Penta told ClutchPoints.
Throughout the years, WWE fans have seen Kittle appear at various wrestling shows, cheering on his favorite WWE Superstars, such as Penta. Additionally, Kittle regularly uses Penta’s signature “Cero Miedo” hand gesture in moments of celebration on the football field, with two even becoming good friends outside of it.
“George and I, we have a real relationship,” Penta said, “but [that’s] the most important to athletes, the elite athletes, you know?”
As for getting physical, Kittle already has some experience with that inside the WWE bubble as he ran over Grand Slam Champion The Miz with a clothesline at WrestleMania 39. Thanks to it, WWE commentator and part-time wrestler Pat McAfee was then able to kick and pin The Miz for a grand stage victory.
Currently, Kittle is recovering from surgery after tearing his Achilles tendon during the 49ers’ Wild Card win over the Philadelphia Eagles on January 11. The date for Kittle’s return to football is unknown, though based on recent comments, there is hope for him to make it in timely fashion.
