The Miz got back up from the unlikely source of a current AEW Champion after a WWE star took a shot at him on social media.
Friday night on WWE SmackDown, The Miz gave an unwelcome assist to an unknowing Carmelo Hayes, allowing him to retain his United States Championship against Ilja Dragunov.
Hayes wasn’t thrilled with The Miz getting involved in his match and made that quite clear following the match. He would hammer that point home on social media following the show, tweeting out:
“Thank You Montréal Thank You Ilja Fck you Miz #SmackDown,” Carmelo Hayes said in a post.
There weren’t many people who came to The Miz’s defense, but surprisingly, one of them was current AEW National Champion Ricochet, telling Hayes to show some respect, tweeting back:
“You wouldn’t be anything without the Miz. Show some respect,” Ricochet said in response.
